Japanese gamers really seem to love their RPG games and the newest SEGA PSP title, Phantasy Star Portable is no different. The game went on sale on the 31st of July in Japan and in the week following the launch, it sold a massive 500,000 copies.
Phantasy Star Portable is SEGA's attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Monster Hunter games on the PSP and the Japanese are flocking to buy another monster killing, item hunting RPG. There has been no release news to tell us if the game is coming to western shores in the near future but, we'll keep you informed if there is.
