Little Big Planet Confirmed for PSP

Published by overlordror on Oct 2nd 2008 The co-founder of Media Molecule Mark Healy, which developed the PS3 title, LittleBigPlanet, has revealed plans for the game to be released onto the PSP. "There's definitely scope for a PSP version," Healy recently told Eurogamer TV. He described how he saw the innovative title transferring seamlessly onto Sony's handheld and expressed enthusiasm for the making of the port. He detailed how the game could be used as a companion product for those who own the PS3 version, so essentially you could take the game with you and create items for the main game on the go. The concept reminds me of Spore Creature Creator, in which you could create creatures and later port them into the game.

If Healy's confirmation that working on a LittleBigPlanet title for the PSP isn't enough, there's a job ad which has been discovered, calling for a "PSP Game Engine Lead" with the description of "A senior level programmer to work on the development of exciting new LittleBigPlanet projects." The game will be released for Playstation 3 on October 24th, but expect to hear more news about a PSP version soon.
