PSP Custom Firmware 5.00 M33

Just a few days after the release of the official Sony firmware, Dark_AleX has issued an update for his M33 custom firmware series. This is the fastest release of custom firmware yet. For more information about the custom changelog, check below.

Complete Changelog:

* 4.01 to 5.00
* Bug fix: when changing speed in XMB, and the psp turned the brightness to 0 automatically the speed was reset to 222 again.

Also, users who are preparing to upgrade should be aware of a PSOne error which can occur in the new firmware. The issue comes from the new pops supporting only PNG images in 24 bit format. Many PSOne conversion utilities such as PSX2PSP save icons in 32 bit form. Dark_AleX has stated that future releases will automatically replace the icons with an invalid color depth so the firmware doesn't throw and error. We'll have to wait for an update from PSOne conversion utility developers before the error will complete disappear.
