PSP Tops Sales Charts in Japan Again

Japanese gamers just cant get enough of the Playstation Portable as sales are riding high and have topped the hardware sales chart in Japan.

The PSP has had it's issues of late and that has affected sales, which have dropped considerably but, the PSP is still outselling all the other consoles by a huge amount:

PSP - 60,467
Wii - 24,292
Nintendo DS - 22,965
Xbox 360 - 7,844
PS2 - 6,962
PS3 - 3,931
 
Overall, sales of hardware has dropped for most of the consoles and the PS3 is still trailing behind in sales compared to it's rivals. The only competitor the Playstation Portable has for the top spot is the Nintendo duo of the Wii and the DS and they have a long way to go to catch the Sony handheld.
